I am French and Australian writer/director based in London.My background is originally in theatre - I founded and ran an English theatre company in Berlin from 2017-2020. During that time, I directed multiple contemporary pieces from Skylight by David Hare to The Real Thing by Tom Stoppard.I graduated with a Philosophy MA from the University of St Andrews in 2024. During that time, I started my freelance videography company Nowhereland Productions and have shot fashion shows, fight nights, live concerts, commercial series and more.Since moving to London, I have shot for SXSW (London edition), and directed a music video and fashion film on 16mm. I am currently working with emerging UK designers on a series of 16mm fashion films and am developing my next narrative short film ‘Tussle’. Caro Benavent directs the video for her own music project Alamayo, addressing the trials and tribulations of a love affair through drama, dance and symbolism.The narrative in the video for Superglue follows the metaphor of a broken plate, as a couple struggles to reassemble&nbsp;the pieces of a&nbsp;once-strong relationship.With strong performances from Paula Lindblom and Harry Mason&nbsp;as the couple, intercut with both performances from two dancers and Caro and Diego Benavent, the duo who comprise Alamayo, the&nbsp;film questions whether love can survive the cracks created to truly forget and forgive. A piece of emotional confrontation.

Gabrielle Torreborre's video for Italian singer Gaia Banfi transforms a woman's dissatisfaction with her relationship into a visually inventive&nbsp;dance piece.&nbsp;The opening scene of the video for Ragni suggests the reason for her concerns - her face blurred by a steamed-up bathroom mirror, we then see the evidence of a&nbsp;pregnancy test. After that, she starts to see spiders - real and imaginary - all over the home she shares with her partner.The French/Australian writer and director Torreborre directed an impressive video for Spanish duo <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2025/07/10/coro-gully-palomitas-sin-ma%C3%ADz-gabrielle-torreborre/91785" target="_blank">Coro &amp; Gully</a> earlier this year and here is more evidence of her talents as a director, based around the strong and affecting performance she draws from dancer Hannah Orman as the woman on the verge of a momentous decision.&nbsp;

Gabrielle Torreborre directs an affecting promo for Spanish duo Coro &amp; Gully.&nbsp;The video for their delightful song Palomitas Sin Maíz was written in tribute to Coro's grandmother, who passed away in March, with both artists turning to songwriting to process the emotions together.Deeply introspective and human, the video is built from an abstract montage of performance and lingering narrative snapshots, building an atmospheric, gentle aesthetic.&nbsp;"[The video is] a joyful tribute to life and the memories that outlast it," explains Torreborre. "It was shot on 16mm, which allowed us to create a soft, reminiscent atmosphere like a tucked-away memory."This video was an opportunity to reflect, process and a reminder to be grateful for those who we still have around us and to celebrate those who have long left."
