Taylor Swift self-directs the absorbing promo for Lavender Haze.&nbsp;The dreamteam is back, with DoP Rina Yang lensing the enchanting concept, which sees Swift pulls away layers of the universe to reveal lavender-hued environments.&nbsp;The cinematic visual&nbsp;is, firstly, stunning to look at. From the atmospheric cinematography through to the otherworldly visual effects, the video has an undercurrent of danger and discovery, enveloped in a suitably&nbsp;colourful world.&nbsp;Away from the glossy shine and excess of many of Swift's videos, Lavender Haze takes a more intimate, raw view of the dreamworld she inhabits, with plenty of contrast, texture and ethereal flair.&nbsp;Beautiful work and another stunning collaboration between Swift and the creative team she is building for her directing projects.&nbsp;

After his biggest movie hit yet with Baby Driver - the film that was inspired by his late 90s video for Mint Royale - Edgar Wright makes a surprise return to music videos for Beck. And it also could be about to be part of something big.The video for Colors (the title track from Beck&#39;s latest&nbsp;album)&nbsp;is a suitably dazzling display of colour and choreography, with Beck and co-star Alison Brie as the monochrome core within an army of &#39;aliens&#39; performing a&nbsp;Busby Berkeley-like dance routine - choreographed by Ryan Heffington, who also created the brilliant choreography at the start of Baby.&nbsp;This is all presented in alternate keys of blue and yellow - the primary hues on the wonderful&nbsp;Colors album cover, by British designers Jimmy Turrell and Steve Stacey.It&#39;s also <a href="http://apple.co/ColorsMusicVideo" target="_blank">exclusive to Apple Music</a>. Not the first of its kind, for sure, but this new Beck video is an important flagbearer in the&nbsp;new drive by Apple to increase the take-up on its music service, via exclusive music videos and a generally much improved music video service. Two others, for A Tribe Called Quest and Kylie Minogue, are part of this initial rollout of exclusives for&nbsp;this service touted as having<a href="http://variety.com/2018/biz/news/apple-music-adds-thousands-of-videos-including-new-ones-from-a-tribe-called-quest-beck-kylie-minogue-watch-1202738947/" target="_blank">&nbsp;recently added &#39;thousands of videos&#39;</a>. It&#39;s what Apple is describing as &quot;the best music video-watching experience available anywhere&quot; and &quot;ad-free&quot;.Not, of course,&nbsp;free-to-view. Queen Bey reclining on top of a patrol car that&#39;s sinking into rising floodwaters is one of the controversial&nbsp;images in her New Orleans-set video for Formation - directed by longtime collaborator Melina. It&#39;s not as incendiary&nbsp;as her Black Panther-referencing performance at the Superbowl the day after the video&#39;s release, but its implicit&nbsp;criticism of the police, together with her wide-ranging celebration of the American black experience, is a Beyoncé-shaped addition to the&nbsp;Black Lives Matter cause.The video also uses footage that was originally shot for the New Orleans&#39; bounce documentary&nbsp;<a href="https://vimeo.com/58423297" target="_blank">That B.E.A.T.</a>&nbsp;- which caused a furore in the hours&nbsp;after its release on Saturday (Feb 6th). Then it was cleared up, with Beyoncé&#39;s representatives releasing a statement saying&nbsp;that the footage had been &quot;used with permission and licensed from the owner of the footage,&quot; and the documentary&#39;s makers, including Abteen Bagheri and Chris Black, duly credited.&nbsp;

Ethan Tobman&#39;s video for Phases&#39; I&#39;m In Love With My Life is one of those elaborate and ambitious&nbsp;reverse-playback numbers that are a lot of fun to watch. The driving&nbsp;idea was the foursome would be moving forward, nonchalantly, while the world inverts around them in a way that brings us joy.The video has plenty to enjoy indeed:&nbsp;reverse carcrashes, dancing, aerobics, as well as the satisfying ingenuity of it&#39;s&nbsp;identical&nbsp;first and final frame.

For their latest magnum opus, it looks initially as if OK Go have returned to the Rube Goldberg Machine of their This Too Shall Pass video - perhaps to try to make it a true one-shot video this time.&nbsp;As if they would bother with anything so unambitious... &nbsp;&nbsp;The video for Writing&#39;s On The Wall may look like it was shot in the same studio, but the focus of their latest jawdropper is a continuous stream of in-camera optical illusions and perspective tricks.&nbsp;Ridiculously great ones.Aaron Duffy and Bob Partington, two directors signed to 1st Ave Machine, got together with OK Go lead singer Damian Kulash to direct this - although &#39;Special Guest&#39; gets a special credit for creating the video, with production designer Cheri Anderson as their&nbsp;executive producer.More background about the video will no doubt emerge soon. Suffice to say, this comfortably sits among the greatest of the great&nbsp;music videos that OK Go have made. It may also&nbsp;be&nbsp;more ammunition to those naysayers who argue that&nbsp;the band&#39;s videos are more memorable than their songs, but it doesn&#39;t change the fact this is yet another remarkable exercise by pop&#39;s resident visual performance artists.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Megaforce's first video since Is Tropical's The Greeks is quite a big one...
Leo, Raphael, Clement and Charles (aka Megaforce) got the nod to direct Madonna's video for Give Me All Your Luvin' - the first, hyper-catchy song from new album MDNA - with a dark cartoon of a treatment which has Madonna being protected at all costs. For her part, Mdna is apparently a big fan of their Kid Cudi video.
It was shot in New York at the beginning of December, and after a lengthy edit by Madonna's favourite editor Danny Tull, post production took place at Box in New York and Mathematic in Paris, who did sterling work creating backgrounds in several scenes - including most of the opening 'suburbia' scene. 
Maybe less dark than Megaforce hoped, but still a blockbuster, and you can't fault Madge for giving budding European directing talent a helping hand. She's been doing it for years. And of course it ties in with her Superbowl show...
