Loyle Carner is back with unfiltered new single Hate, with a video directed by Greg Hackett and Carner himself.&nbsp;The concept shows the artist at the wheel of a car, coasting down a road whilst being hassled by an impatient driver behind him. The pressure comes to a head as he&nbsp;gets out to confront the antagonistic driver, whilst the camera pulls back to introduce&nbsp;several doppelgängers in the back seat, who all try to keep Carner from boiling over.The video is&nbsp;charged with the anger, confusion and anxiety that make up the modern experience of being Black and British at this particular point in time, and is a stirring and thought-provoking watch.&nbsp;

They have the run of the place, they mess around dressing up, climb rigging - and then set fire to the place. TAWBOX, creative directors behind Stormzy’s 2019 Glastonbury headline set and Dave’s 2020 BRITs performance, directed Pa Salieu's first US TV appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon - a one-shot performance that recreates the rapper's Send Them To Coventry&nbsp;album cover.It's a fusion of The Gambia meets Coventry, as Pa Salieu travels through a Gambian shop and is then joined by his Coventry friends. Inspired by Gambian culture, TAWBOX included a Kankurang dancer within the performance. A large-scale lighting set up and a live band was used during the performance to showcase Pa Salieu as one of music’s leading artists."Production wise it was all about getting a dream team together to pull it off and with Alex Jamin behind the lens we went for it," explain TAWBOX. "With numerous lighting states and sets (designed by Sarah Asmail) we needed a monumental lighting plan and roped in Elliot Beach to pull it off in one long day."Funnily enough Sarah Asmail had worked on Pa Salieu's album cover and it was just by sheer coincidence that producer Ghandi El-Chamaa got in touch with her for the performance, having seen her other sets and been keen to get a working relationship going."Seb Joly on the Trinity is also worthy of a mention having had to enter through a car window with his rig and under 1cm clearance 24 times - he didn't bump it on any recorded takes!"

Alice Ray delivers a message of hope in&nbsp;Brendan Harvey's absorbing promo for Lost In The Dark.&nbsp;Shot in four different locations, including&nbsp;East London cafe&nbsp;The Barge House&nbsp;and the beautiful scenery of Epping Forest, the video’s narrative is led by two dancers navigating the complexities of their relationship.&nbsp;The choreography&nbsp;is clever and minimal in places, complimenting the song and leaving space for viewers to digest the lyrics and appreciate the seamless nature of the cinematography.&nbsp;Director/DoP Harvey perfectly captures the beauty of the dancers’ relationship,&nbsp;using a gimbal and&nbsp;clever transitions to make the shots fluid and continuous.&nbsp;The earthy colour palette carries over into every setup, from the brown and green landscapes of the forest, to the rich wooden interiors of the café, adding a continuous thread to the concept which mirrors the sustained energy of the cinematography.&nbsp;"Lost In The Dark&nbsp;is a song full of hope", explains Alice Ray. It&#39;s an enjoyably quirky and surreal treatment for the Frenchn artist&#39;s track In Real Life.

Rashid Babiker, who&#39;s first video was the excellent promo for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2018/10/15/jorja-smith-your-own-rashid-babiker/55494" target="_blank">Jorja Smith&#39;s On Your Own</a>, now directs Jorja with Maverick Sabre. They are two strangers who have an everyday, but quietly powerful&nbsp;encounter.Maverick plays the cab driver who picks up Jorja as his fare. The song Slow Down, and their performances, plus the graphic touches that Babiker provides allows you to take in the world and feel the atmosphere gradually building between the pair.It ends, in an intriguing way, with a bond seeming to appear between them - and then it&#39;s gone, probably forever. A resonant little cinematic episode, and a fine showcase for both artists.
