Rupert Bryan directs a brooding visual for Molly Hocking, winner of The Voice&nbsp;in 2019.Featuring an emotional performance in a blackout studio, with minimal props and art direction, Bryan experiments with layered visuals and otherworldy camera movements&nbsp;to represent the passing of time, and the lonely isolation the artist finds herself trapped in.&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Dennis Madden visualises a world on pause, through the use of several shots on an AR rig - literally turning Hocking's world upside down - and&nbsp;subtle yet powerful lighting arrangements.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, Paul is the captain of a fishing trawler out at sea,&nbsp;suitably attired in yellow fisherman&rsquo;s oilskins and hauling nets onboard. The final sequence takes place at an&nbsp;all-nighter soul club complete with queues of scooter boys and modettes &ndash; of all ages. But will Paul make it back in time for the dance?&nbsp;It&#39;s the second video produced for the former Beautiful South pair by Rough Shots Project, a homeless filmmakers initiative created by director Andy Hylton.&nbsp;&ldquo;Rough Shots Project offers training in film production to young vulnerable people, and we are able to give paid work to inexperienced people who are often living with problem of homelessness and other difficult issues,&quot; explains Andy.&nbsp;&quot;It&rsquo;s important that instead of taking a production mark-up, that the money is put back into the community.&quot;As filmmakers and producers we have a social responsibility, not just go to a location, take a scalp and then leave.&nbsp;Since we needed to shoot on a trawler, it felt right to make a donation to the Fishermen and Firemen Charity Fund, which provides much needed help for the elderly and infirm during the winter months.&rdquo; &nbsp;

The new video for Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott, reunited again from their Beautiful South days, was produced by the new Rough Shots Project, a company set-up to help young people find work in film and video production. The brainchild of&nbsp;director Andy Hylton, the Croydon-based company takes on local young people and gives them training and experience at a professional level.The video for the ska-infused&nbsp;The Austerity Of Love&nbsp;was shot on the streets of Croydon, inside the old Quaker Hall and the &#39;Arts Quarter&#39;, and local homeless young people were given opportunities to learn from paid experience on the shoot as well as gain free training in filmmaking.Rough Shots Project are currently working on the next video for Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott, in Andy&#39;s hometown of Scarborough, so could this be the start of a beautiful Northern relationship.

The triumphant return by Kevin Rowland and his band - now called Dexy's - with an album and brilliant live show that casts Rowland as the sharp-suited lothario unable to commit, is now captured in its full glory in Paul Barulis's video for Incapable Of Love. 
It's a stylish, 1940s-style production that sets the tone for the unapologetically self-centred Rowland to face the onslaught of his girlfriend's considerable ire - she's superbly played by the New Zealand actress and singer Madeleine Hyland. As the video shows, Kevin's charisma and voice are still a force to be reckoned with - and Paul Barulis says: "Keep your eyes peeled for a second instalment coming soon!"

A sexy, pumped-up performance plus a suspenseful-romantic narrative for the bodacious Vanessa Amorosi - directed by Phil Griffin.
It represents Phil's return to UK promos, and his first team-up with producer Mikey Levelle, now head of music at Shameless, Park Village's new music division.
"I noticed Vanessa while working in Australia where she's a massive artist," says Phil. "My approach always starts with a collaboration so with Vanessa's trust we went about the job of stripping back her image to create a sensual and accessible Vanessa. I like to combine handheld and long lens imagery with intimate performance so I really enjoyed provoking the feisty performance from this enigmatic Antipodean superstar."
Shot in and around East London on 16mm with a full crew, several locations were covered in a single day by virtue of shooting the action car in transit between locations. "Otherwise a considerable amount of time would have been lost to the loveable London traffic," notes Mikey Levelle. "The male lead, Neil Lumberg, was cast only days before the shoot and both him and Vanessa were hard working, patient and professional throughout, with art department and wardrobe helping the viewer to differ between a narrative and performance. 
"It was also great to work with Phil, having discussed doing so for a number of months," Mikey continues. "His artistic and photographic background as well as his vast experience with choreography helped the artist achieve her best performance and make it an enjoyable shoot."

"So when this sure-fire radio hit found it's way into my headphones, I knew right away that I wanted to take Kirsty into a realm of gothic fairytale," Andy says. "I'd had an idea kicking around for a while whereby the artist would perform with marionette skeletons so I pretty much wrote the script around that. Then lo and behold when the press shots came through, there was a shot of Kirsty posing with a marionette skeleton! 'A sign' I thought... 
"Later down the line Kirsty told me she actually hated that particular picture, but she didn't let that stop us going ahead and making this kooky little number..."

"One night watching the Phenomenal Hand Clap Band (and how the vocalist reminded me of one of the Muppets) got me thinking as to how no one has made a good muppet vid for a while and then that was it - Sshazam!!- I suddenly remembered the box under the bed in my spare room that contains the puppet version of the Scissor Sisters (it's stored right next to the box that contains the real Scissor Sisters). My pal Jonny Puppets designed em' for me a couple years ago for some podcasts I was making. He designed and puppeteerd the muppet Alfie in Sarah Chatfield's Lilly Allen smash. So I dug out mini Ana and strapped her round my neck to shoot a test... The rest as they say is music history".

Phil Griffin's latest video uses Italian superstar Eros Ramazzotti's heartfelt piano and vocal performance as the basis for a deceptively simple visual device, quite possibly based on Paul Klee's declaration that art was taking a 'line for a walk'. 
The video uses a single, black animated line to sketch the world it inhabits, telling a linear story of a young boy's journey into manhood.
