Molly Hocking 'After The Night Before' by Rupert Bryan
Rupert Bryan directs a brooding visual for Molly Hocking, winner of The Voice in 2019.
Featuring an emotional performance in a blackout studio, with minimal props and art direction, Bryan experiments with layered visuals and otherworldy camera movements to represent the passing of time, and the lonely isolation the artist finds herself trapped in.
DoP Dennis Madden visualises a world on pause, through the use of several shots on an AR rig - literally turning Hocking's world upside down - and subtle yet powerful lighting arrangements.
