Luke Seomore and Joseph Bull's film to accompany 'post-rock' outfit Blessed Are The Heart That Bend's track Palace, follows a young paramedic as he leaves hospital after his shift, and then experiences a rollercoaster of emotions.&nbsp;Rising actor Daniel Ward gives a moving performance as the paramedic who struggles with post-shift fallout as he walks the streets of London, occasionally encountering the characters on the streets at night, but mainly struggling with the impact of his job: the vestiges of adrenaline, the memories, the cathartic release.&nbsp;Filmed around the streets and edglands of East London at night, captured in luminous cinematography by DoP David Procter, this is an insightful study of the psychological impact upon&nbsp;health service workers at times of crisis. It could hardly be more timely, this year of all years.&nbsp;

In this director&#39;s cut of Courtney Phillips&#39;s video for Dermot Kennedy, you get the full force of an absorbing story of courage and determination, set in the heart of Havana, Cuba.It&#39;s all about a girl boxer who wants to be the best - not just among her fellow females, but against the boys too. Her motivation is utterly believable - we see her homelife, where she and her younger sister have no mother figure to defend them against a father who oozes malevolence. She needs to somehow escape.This comes with the context of Cuba itself. It has&nbsp;that unique character that makes it so good on film - and it&#39;s never looked more richly atmospheric, thanks to brilliant work by the DoP&nbsp;David Procter. But the appraoch, combining drama and&nbsp;documentary, is also revealing about the true hardship&nbsp;under which people live. Havana may be beautiful, but as Phillips&#39; excellent video shows, it&#39;s also an extremely tough place.&nbsp;

Sam Pilling&#39;s video for DJ Shadow &amp; Run The Jewels is a convincing take on high-level international diplomacy that&nbsp;very quickly turns into an hilarious if slightly scary&nbsp;international brawl.It&#39;s a scene that you&#39;ll be familiar with now. Political leaders of the world squabble and argue and things quickly become heated. This fictional United Nations meeting is more of the same; only the representatives of the US and UK are both lipsyncing the stream of poetic invective coming&nbsp;from the Run The Jewels rappers, at each other. It&#39;s&nbsp;Killer Mike Vs El-P. Nation Vs Nation.Of course, just like in the real UN things escalate quickly into an all-out, heavily coordinated fistfight. And farm animals naturally&nbsp;become involved.Pilling&#39;s clip is simple in premise but the execution is brilliant, with visual punchlines delivered throughout with perfect timing.[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2]

Elliott Power has released some visually striking, monochromatic visuals&nbsp;for new single Once Smitten directed by&nbsp;Alex Hulsey.&nbsp;The video zeroes in on Hulsey&#39;s experimentation with&nbsp;ferrofluids, resulting in&nbsp;transfixing sequences of the shiny&nbsp;fluid playing off of the&nbsp;human body. The black, tarlike liquid&nbsp;takes a life of its own, forming into complex scales that slither their way across the otherwise slick smooth human forms.Hulsey also achieved his goal of&nbsp;creating something&nbsp;&ldquo;abstract with dark visuals to match the [song&#39;s] production&rdquo;&nbsp;without the use of CGI.&nbsp;It&#39;s all done through in-camera effects, courtesy of excellent work&nbsp;by DoP David Procter.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Pro Green and Henry Scholfield go way back, making videos before the rapper was known much outside Hackney (their collaboration on Upper Clapton Dance back in 09 remains a high point for UK urban videos).Now they&#39;ve got back together to make arguably their most ambitious video yet&nbsp;for Are You Getting Enough?: a bombardment of vignettes, featuring a gallery of grotesque characters and uncomfortably believable scenarios, to demonstrate that&nbsp;everyone is getting too much for their own good.&nbsp;Pro Green surveys a bank of TV screens featuring news footage, shopping channels, infomercials&nbsp;- and Miles Kane performing the chorus &ndash; displaying several of what used to be known as the Deadly Sins.&nbsp;It was shot over three days in London, was edited into a brilliant kinetic frenzy by Thomas Grove Carter &ndash; and that little &#39;princess&#39; with the fake tan and hair rollers&nbsp;is bloody terrifying...&nbsp;

Reflecting her fascination with North Africa and her partly Algerian heritage, Institute For Eyes (Luke Seomore and Joseph Bull) travelled to Casablanca in Morocco with young singer Yadi to shoot the video for The Blow - with a combination of regular collaborators and local crew.
The result is an absorbing snapshot of real life in this beautiful city - given a more dramatic edge in the alternate cut for the Joe Goddard remix of The Blow.

Institute For Eyes - aka directing duo Luke Seomore and Joseph Bull - have created a very atmospheric and mysterious video for former Beta Band and King Biscuit Time frontman Steve Mason's new single Oh My Lord. 
It features a mystery man - with a full Invisible Man-type face and hands bandage - who starts out in the Thames Estuary, then walks into the city via the Rotherhithe Tunnel, to return to a spartan bedroom and, among other things, play with squirming maggots...
In short a very opaque character study, beautifully shot in black and white 16mm by Luke and Joseph's longtime collaborator David Procter.

Following his work on <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/2012/10/31/asos-charlotte-by-luke-monaghan/" target="_blank">Charlotte</a> and forming the second part of the ASOS Holiday Campaign, Luke Monaghan directs Azealia Banks&#39; in this stylish, eye-popping promo for new single Fierce, from her Fantasea album.&quot;Azealia is wearing all ASOS clothes, we wanted to create something luxurious and polished&quot; explains Luke, &quot;but still something that just shows off Azealia&#39;s brilliant performance in front of camera. This piece was definitely influenced by the Lil Kim videos of the 90&#39;s&quot;.

'Demon Days' is a fabulous short focusing on the work of inventive super-chef Alvin Leung for culture mega-blog NOWNESS. It's a astounding array of incredible short shots and the effect is terrific. The film features top DoP David Procter putting Ryan's alien, culinary visuals into reality.
Ryan says: "The 'Demon Chef' project was always going to be a challenge to make, as with all my work I prefer to shoot everything 'in camera' and as this is hard in photography, its even more difficult in film. I believe shooting everything 'in camera' brings another dimension to the work that CGI can't bring. I met with Thomas Petherick (set designer) and David Procter (DoP) to discuss what I wanted to achieve. 
"There was lots of plans, drawings and ideas on techniques, cameras to use and how we can make sure everything is kept abstract. So working with macro lenses to play with object sizes, chemicals, explosives, blow torches, inks, speakers and blenders we set out to create an abstract World that referenced the importance of creativity, innovation, science &amp; food culture. From burning meat to look like meteorites, dripping liquid metal on to pineapple's to making steaks look like mountain ranges and creating Universes in blenders."

The video features some excellent and inventive lighting effects courtesy of DoP David Procter and visual effects artist Chris Bristow. Both have delved into the madder side of filming, David with his notorious <a href="" target="_blank">Raindance Trailer</a> and, more recently, Chris with his animated promo for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/2012/08/14/dirty-alice-power-crown-by-chris-bristow/" target="_blank">Dirty Alice</a>.Tim and Joe: &quot;We collaborated with Chris Bristow and David Procter to design the identity of the light from the start. We shone light through liquids and textured glass to create in-camera effects which Chris then combined with his visual effects, bringing David&#39;s beautiful cinematogrphy to life. The video was shot in two locations, a day and a night and stars first-time actor Billy Wright.&quot;David Procter adds: &quot;It was crucial that the light retained an almost organic quality. Meticulous planning from Tim and Joe, with Chris&#39; detailed pre-vis of the post-effects, helped me in designing bespoke lighting rigs to achieve believable environmental effects of the moving lights. Seeking a fairly raw aesthetic, whilst embracing the darkness, the fusion of in-camera plates, flares and unorthodox techniques feeding into the VFX work was a truly liberating collaboration.&quot;
