Blessed Are The Hearts That Bend 'Palace' by Luke Seomore & Joseph Bull

Promonews - 9th Dec 2020

Luke Seomore and Joseph Bull's film to accompany 'post-rock' outfit Blessed Are The Heart That Bend's track Palace, follows a young paramedic as he leaves hospital after his shift, and then experiences a rollercoaster of emotions.

Rising actor Daniel Ward gives a moving performance as the paramedic who struggles with post-shift fallout as he walks the streets of London, occasionally encountering the characters on the streets at night, but mainly struggling with the impact of his job: the vestiges of adrenaline, the memories, the cathartic release.

Filmed around the streets and edglands of East London at night, captured in luminous cinematography by DoP David Procter, this is an insightful study of the psychological impact upon health service workers at times of crisis. It could hardly be more timely, this year of all years.
