The pair dance around the messy living room, before the flashbacks begin - snatches of last night's party in full swing under strobe lights.It's a classic concept executed perfectly, putting&nbsp;a more fun spin than&nbsp;usual on the 'morning after' experiences with playful performances from both artists and solid art direction. An impressive addition to Dylan Friese-Greene's work in music videos over the past couple of years.

Ja Humby explores the lengths some bands will go to for success, in this rip-roaring satire on the modern day music biz&nbsp;for shame.&nbsp;The video for Fingers Of Steel reveals the 'truth' behind the group's hype... it's the work of evil&nbsp;genius front-man Charlie Steen, who has forcefully enlisted his bandmates in a click farm operation generating fake likes and comments on their own social media posts.&nbsp;Steen plays the villainous role to perfection, bare-chested and manic throughout, as self-obsessed as he is demanding, as he bullies his bandmates into submission. And their musical instruments go unplayed as they churn increasingly outlandish comments online.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]Blending narrative with glitchy animation and a 90's thriller-esque colour scheme, the video is sharp, funny and works really well with the track - remarkably it was apparently turned around in a week -&nbsp;and Steen's hip thrusting will stay in your mind long after watching...&nbsp;It also represents a triumphant reunion between the band and Ja Humby, who worked together on the faux doc and live performance film, <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2021/03/10/shame-live-flesh-molten-jets-ja-humby/69817" target="_blank">Live In The Flesh</a>&nbsp;for the director's Molten Jets project."Conceived and delivered in one week with very little sleep, the frontman was somehow more narcissistic off-camera than he is on it - humping thin air between barrages of punches," claims Humby. "His hips would spasm when he caught himself in the mirror, despite the tantrum-induced snot bubbles no one dared to point out."Huge thank you to everyone involved in this brutally honest depiction of a modern band’s struggle for fame."

A mysterious figure ponders what it means to be a man in 2022, in Giles Edward-N's enigmatic promo for Shadez The Misfit.The video explores&nbsp;the artist's socio-economic upbringing and life experience, through to his role as&nbsp;guide and mentor as a new father, with a powerful and memorable style.Shot in high contrast black and white, the video uses conceptual setups to bring the themes to life, with burnt-out highlights and crushed shadows creating a gritty, otherworldly aesthetic.&nbsp;The autobiographical piece blends narrative with abstract imagery, representing the uncertainty of the journey ahead, and the newfound responsibility he has been given.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Director Charles Gall unleashes a little bit of madness for Sports Team's latest promo, where lead singer Alex Rice becomes the hapless contestant in a sadistic game show.&nbsp;Welcome to 'The Game',&nbsp;where life's hard but you can't complain...We see Alex sitting at home, flicking through TV when he comes across a surreal gameshow, and signs up to land a guest spot. Before long, he is shaking hands with the eccentric presenter - played by veteran singer-songwriter John Otway - and enters into an increasingly unappealing set of tasks.Meanwhile, the rest of the band are among the audience, all too willing to subject Alex to demeaning and painful 'games' -&nbsp;including a real-life version of the board game Operation, and a ruck with the entire group dressed as animals, and finally ending up as an angel harrassed by a mob of devils.It's a vibe that perfectly suits the London-based indie-rock group, and Rice manages to amp up the charm even when getting stomped on by giant animal feet...&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Ehsan directs a banger for Unknown P, the world's poshest drill rapper - the creation&nbsp;of comedian Munya Chawawa -&nbsp;depicting a bombastic food fight among the vile&nbsp;upper classes.Opening with a group of well-to-do chums having breakfast, the video cuts between a&nbsp;Good Morning Britain&nbsp;parody on a TV - with Unknown P in the eponymous Piers Morgan role -&nbsp;and an unexpected&nbsp;narrative full of quirky characters and hilarious props... and plenty of fancy baked goods.Ehsan has been making an impact in commercials but here he shows that his explosive take on visual comedy is well suited to music videos.&nbsp;The film is technically brilliant throughout, with a terrific edit by Lucian Barnard. And the sound design deserves a special shoutout for capturing an anachronistic mix of old martial art&nbsp;film sound effects&nbsp;and contemporary action foley.

Aella Jordan-Edge reworks the Cinderella fairytale&nbsp;in this triumphal visual for NUUXS, the story of a commercial cleaner who finds her own way to the ball.Lucy Namgauds gives an emphatic performance as a girl who is well and truly over it. She’s on her way to a soul-destroying job, and to top it all off, she’s just realised her prince was not who she thought she was. Thankfully, NUUXS is here to make an intervention. In a fantasy sequence, the singer appears as a proto-fairy godmother, with some sisterly advice: “Get up and go / move on, you know / you got options baby”.Even with naturalistic light and colour, DoP Donny Johnson and colourist Ruth Wardell find a way to lend the dullest of locations a celebratory quality. And this is compounded by a tension-building edit by Meg Thorne. There’s a subtle emotional power when NUUXS first appears with her rallying pep talk, interrupting reality in ethereal violet light. Jordan-Edge's visual gets right to the crux of the Cinders story.

Dave has a few questions for the new Prime Minister, and the old one, and the Leader of the Opposition, and it&#39;s riveting stuff.It&#39;s a terrific performance by Dave, a smart, sharp, angry and compassionate voice commanding a darkened studio.&nbsp;It&#39;s&nbsp;also and impressive directing debut by Nathan James Tettey, employing all his experience of making videos as a producer and commissioner for the first time from the director&#39;s chair, so the viewer&#39;s focus on this young hiphop artist and his Question Time session never wavers.
