David Knight - 14th Dec 2015

Some of the most groundbreaking, creative and entertaining music videos of the past few months were shown at the last new BUG show of 2015. There was also a mini-catchup of winners at the UK Music Videos Awards that somehow evaded screening at previous shows this year.

And the premiere of BUG 49 on December 4th at the BFI Southbank included a wonderful special guest: Roisin Murphy - cool pop star, excellent music video performer and now talented video director. Roisin has taken the directing reins on videos for songs from her acclaimed Hairless Toys album and BUG screened the results, while she and host Adam Buxton chatted about her new creative departure.

Things went so well, in fact, that after the show, Roisin and Adam decided to become an unlikely yet brilliant cop partnership in a brand new Nordic Noir crime series. As you can see in the photo above, courtesy of regular BUG photographer Ben Meadows.

BUG returns in early 2016 with a special show celebrating the 10th anniversary of Because Music, at the BFI Southbank on Thursday, january 21st.
