Following Ducrot's stunning rendition of Hallelujah, Slane directs a second live promo with support from The Royal Northern College Of Music Student Choir - this time for I'll Be Waiting. The artist performs at a piano in the confines of a Victorian swimming pool, whilst the camera glides effortlessly around him, eventually revealing the twenty-piece choir situated on the viewing platforms above. Filmed twice to allow for a dramatic lighting change, the video is an absorbing and atmospheric piece of work, that captures the emotion of the track and the magic of the moment in stunning detail.

Simon Lane directs an impressive one-take all-live promo for Cian Ducrot's version of Leonard Cohen's classic Hallelujah. Featuring the Royal Northern College Of Music Student Choir, the video sees the artist playing at a piano in an empty, disused swimming pool, as the camera circles around the space. The gentle camera movement contrasts against the stark location, creating a complex, textural aesthetic. The use of a one-take concept also feels incredibly inspired, capturing the grand atmosphere of the location and the naturalistic, intimate performances that unfold through the track.

Ever since his marvellous video for Metronomy's The Bay, David Wilson has been able to make magic happen by the pool. And that's what happens in his video for Glass Animals' It's All So Incredibly Loud.GA's frontman Dave Bayley emerges through wisps of smoke to negotiate the diving board of a swimming pool in a suburban home at night. Yes, once again Wilson is making an English summer appear impossibly glamourous. He also brings us a heightened reality which almost seems nostalgic in its visual crispness.The intention is to capture a moment, and explore it's metaphorical meaning. Shot on both a Phantom and an Alexa, the time when Bayley inevitably enters the pool's water is stretched out to last as long as possible. Time is slowed, just as seems to happen when you dive into cold water - and also when you are faced with the emotional issues discussed in the song.Suitably Bayley also delivers a heartfelt performance to camera in this video that marks a triumphant return by David Wilson to the music video mainstream. A nod too to marvellous camerawork, supervised by DoP David Foulkes.

Of Monsters And Men's singer Nanna Bryndís does not so much walk on water as lie upon it, in Thora Hilmars' video for Wild Roses. Nanna performs the song from the centre of a pool, with power over the water surrounding her - it eventually flows in mini spinning vortices around her. Shot at night in an old swimming pool in Iceland, it's a notable performance video which arguably alludes to the Icelandic relationship with water: the nation exists because they have mastered it. The track Wild Roses is taken from OMAM’s latest album, Fever Dream.
