Melbourne psych-rock band Bananagun self-direct a suitably trippy, lo-fi promo for Free Energy. Packed into a small vibrant room with their instruments and a vast array of houseplants, the group perform in a chaotic yet playful way. Full of fun vibes and an intimate, almost behind-the-scenes style, it's a great little DIY video for a song taken from Bananagun's second album Why Is The Colour Of The Sky?, out on November 8th.

Otis Dominique and RAYE continue their standout collaborative streak with this dazzling seven-minute epic for Genesis. It's a video of two parts - the first five minutes are a darkly conceptual, twisty ride through societal woes, fear and depression. The final two minutes are the antithesis of this, exuding hope, light and love. Shot across a week, the video is hugely ambitious, with a blockbuster sense of scale and an infectious mix of choreography, performance and conceptual vignettes. DoP David Wright responds brilliantly to the complexity of Dominique and RAYE's brief, with cinematography that spans from darkly cinematic to mock-TV ad colourful to off-the cuff doc style.Written by Dominique, RAYE and her creative director Mikey Robbins, it's a momentous visual - one of the biggest of the year so far. “It's always special when me, RAYE and Mikey link up but feel we went to a different, different level with this one!" Dominique says, justifiably."It feels surreal that it’s actually out in the world now and people can take it in. We shot the video across seven days and the whole crew and team were phenomenal too and I’m honoured to have met and worked with so many great people throughout this project. It’s hard to sum up in few words but hopefully the film and music can do the talking for now 🖤”

210992 & Brandeus directs a lo-fi lyric video for Do U Love Me, shot on iPhone. Exploring the video capabilities of the device, the concept boasts some great low-light shots, with textural filters and lyric overlays to make it feel dynamic and contemporary.

Roisino directs, shoots and edits this affecting lyric video for Bow Anderson, about the terror felt by women when walking home alone at night. Following the narrative of three different women, the video empathetically visualises a feeling felt by women everywhere: the sense of having to be hyper aware, continuously alert and conscious of their surroundings with every step.The intimate, lo-fi aesthetic offers a personal perspective that many viewers will relate to, whilst the disorienting camerawork helps to represent the themes of fear and feeling unsafe in an environment. An important piece of work deftly crafted by Roisino.
