The video for Nothing Hurts Like A Girl is a riotous, colourful trip through a relationship, from first sight to last argument, played out by Girli and co-star Queen Velveteen. The highs and lows are explored in raw detail, as a montage of dreamy vignettes play out on screen.Textural, gritty and real, it's a deeply intimate video with beautiful art direction and styling, and confident direction from Chong.

Mike Lee Thomas directs a stunning film, where tensions in a rural community builds to a terrifying climax, for singer songwriter John Edgar aka The Dawdler.The video for Skipping Down the Road was created as part of a photography, print, and film exhibition at newly established gallery Arena, to celebrate the music of Newcastle-based musician The Dawdler and raise money for MSTrust.Shot in the North East of England and the West Coast of Scotland, the video explores the themes that John approached when writing the track, during his diagnosis with MS. It also explores our relationships with the world at present and the idea that regardless of the situations we find ourselves in, there is always beauty to be found. The black and white palette and filmic textures - this is beautifully shot by DoP Kyle Heslop - lend a cinematic quality to the project, which builds to a nightmarish climax and leaves a lingering sense of dread. "When I was writing Skipping Down The Road, I had just read The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse-Five," the artist mentions. "Both books contain air raids, and the track explores the moments before a city is destroyed by bombs." These references are explored in an abstract, emotive way, and give the video a sense of profound fear right up to the explosive ending.

In Kyrylo Volovych's atmospheric video for Ġenn, a young woman travels through dimensions, eventually stumbling upon an enigmatic, lone castle where the notion of time seems to be frozen. Drawn by the unknown binding force, she embarks on a journey of unexpected occurrences in search of answers.Filmed in Svirzh in Ukraine this year, the video for The Sister Of is divided into three acts, with abstract narrative elements weaving through it's structure.DoP Borya Borysov's cinematography helps bind the concept, with an otherworldly aesthetic built up of desaturated vignettes and monochromatic snapshots, giving the whole thing a haunting, transcendental vibe.

Lewis Cater directs an enchanting promo for LA-based artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Laufey. In the video for Bewitched, Laufey romanticises in an old movie theatre, becoming the star of her own love story. In beautifully lingering shots, we see the relationship between the artist and her love interest grow, interwoven with magical performance shots in the theatre. Set on the streets of West London, this is a tale full of feeling, bewilderment, longing and the thrill of falling for someone. DoP Adam Singodia brings the magic of the track to life with stunning lighting and dreamlike camerawork, allowing the ethereal nature of memory and first experiences to manifest on screen.

Sophia + Suzie direct an atmospheric road trip promo for sister-duo SkyeChristy. Set against expansive backdrops and enigmatic night-time locations, the video presents a dreamlike montage of transitory moments and stirring portraiture, packaged in a home-video style edit. It's a beautifully angsty snapshot of youth, with gorgeous cinematography and a nostalgic, filmic aesthetic.

Directing duo NWSPK create an effortlessly slick promo for Ragz Originale.With a breezy, nostalgic aesthetic and a focus on pure performance, the video feels filmic and intimate, which is reflected in both the shoot style and format, as explained below:"We wanted to create a flowing endless movement to reflect the smooth vibe of the track," say NWSPK."We eventually settled on a mix of slowly spinning camera moves, taking inspiration from classic Spike Lee films such as 'Mo' Better Blues and his signature dolly shots."Ragz is always adamant on shooting 16mm film which is a joy when the artist pushes for this as much as we do. This helped us create a classic New York/Brooklyn 90s/00s feel which there are nods too in the track, but still felt uniquely UK R'n'B."

A homeless single father and musician gets the opportunity to finally showcase his talent, but he must first overcome his stage fright, in Alfredo Vidal's moving promo for Progress. The video opens in a breathtaking desert location, surreal and dreamlike, whilst the main character - played by Tosin Cole - stares on in awe. It then cuts to a more realistic, everyday environment, showing Cole looking after his kid, in a series of intimate portrait vignettes. As the video goes on, we see the journey to stage intercut with several other vignettes, including the desert setup, which represents a calm and controlled world in which he can thrive. It's a beautiful meditation on aspiration and overcoming fear, shot in a cinematic, captivating fashion.

Lewis Cater directs a minacious promo for Shinedown, where under the ominous surveillance of an unspecified evil, the US rock band look fear straight in the eye. The video for Dead Don't Die jumps between a rowdy performance section in an ornate structure, and enigmatic vignettes with frontman Brett, where various weapons and objects hang mid-air, threatening to break through and injure him - but unable to do so.It's a thrilling addition to both the band and Cater's videography, and packed full of filmic moments and great performances. "We shot the video for Dead Don’t Die straight after the band’s Wembley headline show last month," Cater says. "It was a special shoot as it was the first time that the band had shot a video outside of United States."It’s a video about resilience, the strong-willed, the bend but never break human spirit. The power of the mind is extraordinary. The band use their strength within to control the darkness and retreat to a more positive space."We follow Brent (Shinedown's frontman) as he is pursued by an unspecified evil. He passes by each band member as they use their energy to control a moment of wickedness. Brent is then confronted. Using MoCo, we had bullets build up around Brent. The power of his mind pushes to the forefront as the bullets are suspended. After overcoming each of their obstacles, the band are united for one final test."

Love rivalries play out on the dancefloor in Conor McCormick's dazzling promo for N.O.A.H. At a lowkey party in a community hall, we are introduced to several characters, who mingle as the group play on stage.Before long, one man plucks up the courage to give a girl a drink, setting off a chain of awkward stares, hilarious dance moves and a fight that ends the whole event.Beautifully lensed by Sarah Dillon, the video has a filmic, vintage look to it and is effortlessly captivating from start to finish.

Nick Harwood directs a perceptive narrative video for King Princess - aka singer-songwriter Mikaela Straus. With creative direction by Quinn Wilson, the video for For My Friends resembles a portrait of the artist's teenage self and her sometimes volatile relationship with her best friends, played on-screen by Alex Consani and Laine Philipps. A superbly unfiltered perspective on friendship, emotional connection and youth, the video is shot in a raw, authentic fashion, following the overlooked minutiae of hanging out with the people you love the most, with all its ups and downs. The filmic cinematography and energy feel comfortable and timely, and will remind viewers of the imperfect yet essential connections in their own lives.
