A group of patients have a visceral reaction to a TV performance, in Bolivian director Juan Pablo Richter's promo for rock band Unsafe.The concept for Paranoid centres around a glitchy lo-fi performance, playing out on an old TV in a hospital. As the video loops on-screen, one of the patients makes a run for it, inspired by the music and the limitless bounds of her imagination.Grimy and raw in its presentation, the green-tinged colour palette and frantic cinematography is reminiscent of old MTV2 rock videos, bringing a nice dose of nostalgia to the riotous visual.

In Anna Brooks nostalgic promo for Isabel, we see the artist viewing frames through a vintage handheld slide viewer - with each picture magically transporting us to a dreamy vignette. "The concept for the video came from a love of the static photograph," Brooks explains. "I love how images can be sources of reflection, nostalgia and ambiguity. Growing up, we used to have a 35 mm projector at home. I used to find the whole experience so magical and tactile. When I found an original '90s version on eBay I knew it needed to feature in the video."I loved the idea of the music itself having the power to bring Isabel to life and break through the picture. As she performs in her own wonderland, her partner's remains locked in that moment only breaking the illusion through a blink or a glance."The evocative promo boasts a vintage, effervescent aesthetic, care of DoP Adam Singodia and colourist Vlad Barin (both previous guests of the Promonews Podcast) and was shot on 16mm. "Shooting on 16mm film was a no-brainer and felt like the perfect medium for the concept, keeping it all within the same analog world," says Brooks.

Andy Little directs an evocative promo for the return of indie rock band The Pigeon Detectives. The black and white video cycles through several abstract vignettes, with a woman yearning for past experiences, and enjoying the process of reliving those memories years later. "The idea for the video was to make a high energy visual full of nostalgia - in this case nostalgia for the early 2000's when the UK indie music scene was booming." Little explains."Skinny jeans and sticky-floored venues. The frantic editing of the video blurs the line between memories of the past and how we view those memories later."

Samuel Douek directs a rip-roaring promo for alternative rock oufit Yonaka. The evocative frenetic promo sees vocalist Theresa dragged through a series of chaotic scenes - including being strapped to the front of a moving truck - before finally breaking free, and taking control of her own destiny."I was so excited to work with Yonaka and direct my first punk music video," says Douek. "We shot this in the middle of freezing cold winter - and did three live stunts in the dead of night."It was an amazing feat from the whole team, and I'm forever in awe with the band’s willingness to get stuck in."Punchy, energetic and full of attitude, it's another brilliant video from Douek and the CAMP team.
