Ismael De La Trinidad directs an arresting narrative symbolising Spanish singer Lia Kali's personal struggles against harmful forces. The video for Renacer transforms an empty airport terminal into an eerie stage, a metaphor for the fear and phobia that haunt the artist. In this space, that Lia confronts her own 'demoness' - a blue skinned, yellow-eyed sprite - in a visceral duel embodying the chaos of intrusive thoughts in her head.The video immerses the viewer in an internal battle where every small victory matters: overcoming fears, pushing past exhaustion, and making peace with oneself. Blending realism with dreamlike elements, De La Trinidad is consistently inventive in exploring the contradictions swirling around the human mind.Both the spectacular SFX makeup work of the malevolent demoness and richly atmospheric cinematography by DoP Álvar Riu elevate the concept, whilst Lia's performance anchors the otherworldly into reality. video Trippie Redd 'Left 4 Dead' by Glenn Michael

Glenn Michael directs a trippy fever dream for multi-platinum hip-hop heavyweight, Trippie Red.The concept for Left 4 Dead transports us six feet under, where Trippie Redd is hanging out in a rather accommodating extension to his grave, just metres away from mourning characters and a range of demonic entities above. The pastel-coloured, heavily theatrical aesthetic brings a sense of whimsy to the vulnerable track, and the playful art direction transports the concept to a dreamlike world that blends elements of reality and fantasy.

Florence Kosky directs a sensual promo for Alicia Davis. The video for Old Habits Die Hard has a contrasting blue- red colour palette, peppered with abstract textures and striking art direction. Alluding to a demonic force - through unusual cutaways and satanic shadows - the video is both impassioned and enigmatic, leaning into dark and dangerous territory with flair.

video Bring Me The Horizon 'Strangers' by Thomas James

Thomas James directs a beautifully twisted and sublimely surreal exploration of inner demons coming to life, in his promo for Bring Me The Horizon's Strangers.In a nondescript industrial space, a host of characters undergo Cronenberg-style body horror transformations, intercut with a suitably haunting performance from the band. Bodies twist, contort and conjoin in a horrific yet eerily beautiful way, balancing a nightmarish aesthetic with hyper-intimate, bravura cinematography by Adam Barnett.James draws on a host of influences - including a special nod to Chris Cunningham and Aphex Twin's Rubber Johnny - but adds his own facility for narrative and sense of humanity to the outstanding VFX work. It's a brilliantly successful execution of a stunningly ambitious concept.

video Marshall Vincent 'Radio Silence' by OUROBOROS

Directing duo OUROBOROS explore a surreal state of mind, in the hallucinatory promo for Marshall Vincent's Radio Silence. The concept introduces the artist in a huge industrial space, trapped by his bed - a place where recollections of tenderness and passion play out. In other scenes, he sits vulnerable and naked, backdropped by vast curtains and textural art direction.The duo collaborated with a team of Berlin-based artists, including cinematographer & photographer Sven Gutjahr to capture this melancholic space of absence - and the monstrous demon that lurks within.The video is a sensual display of fantasy, dominance and absence, shot in a striking way, with glimpses of Vincent's monstrous shadow providing intrigue and plenty of subtext for viewers to sink their teeth into.

video Dilemma 'Isä Kun Poika' by Heini Susanne

Heini Susanne directs a second video for Finnish rapper Dilemma, following the effervescent promo for Kova. The lyrics of Isä Kun Poika deal with the rapper's relationship with his father; how even with all the difficulty they've had, forgiveness and change is possible.Shot in the neoclassic Helsinki Cathedral - which was built in the 1800s - the video depicts a handful of angelic and demonic characters, who interact with the artist across several powerful performance vignettes. Building upon the stripped-back colour palettes inside the church, the styling and makeup is made up largely of whites, golds and reds, and brings an extra finesse to the aesthetic.

video Dynoro ft 24kgoldn 'Monsters' by Taisia Deeva

Taisia Deeva directs a sci-fi inspired promo for Dynoro's Monsters, featuring 24kgoldn. Shot by separate units in Kiev and the US, the video features children cowering in terror, hiding from the unknown, only to be transported to a futuristic corridor where their anxieties are personified as a shrouded monster. By grouping together, they transcend their circumstances to become stronger than they could ever imagine.The resulting visual is impactful and poignant, and beautifully realised by the creative teams in both locations - the art direction and cinematography balance futurism with a dark, contemporary aesthetic, whilst the styling and monster effects lend a surreal fantasy to the concept.

video CD Spinz & Fosterbeats 'Quit Bro' by Benn Veasey

Newcomer Benn Veasey has directed this twisted take on the classic rap video, playing with the themes of power, struggle and control in a surprising way.It sees London rapper CD Spinz strutting down a residential street in London before getting in over his head by creating a demon out of a stranger on the street. It's a bizarre and engaging clip, especially when the woman-turned-demon runs away, turns on him, gets him in a headlock, takes his life and steals his rapping skills. And its nicely shot by Doug Walshe.

British musician Mickey Lightfoot performs despite dire circumstances in this gripping visual for Anxious, directed by Shaun James Grant.The video starts out with a super-closeup shot of the artist - illuminated against the night's darkness - whose eyes suggest a state of demonic posession. But when the chorus bursts in, so do the headlights of the vehicle he is revealed to be chained to.And then out comes a malevolent figure wielding a bat with nails sticking out the end...

Panic! At The Disco's announcement of their fifth studio album Death Of A Bachelor has been paired with the release of this thoroughly excellent new video for Emperor's New Clothes, directed by Daniel Cloud Campos.According to Billboard, the video is a narrative follow-up to Campos' This Is Gospel video from PATD's previous album, and sees lead singer Brendan Urie undergo a magnificently gnarly transformation from normal guy into a ghoulish demon. If it didn't feel like Halloween time before, it sure does now!

video Florence + The Machine 'Delilah' by Vincent Haycock

Florence Welch faces her final demons - as well as an actual demon - in this intense video for Delilah, chapter six of the How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful odyssey by Vincent Haycock. It follows What Kind Of Man, St. Jude, Ship To Wreck, Queen of Peace and Long & Lost, and sees a Florence at the epicentre of spiritual chaos, playing out with expected dramatic furor in a filmically drab motel.The video starts out with a scene in the motel's reception as Florence listens to a preacher's counsel concerning her loss of faith. Soon after, she enters a vortex of religious symbolism, characterised by painterly compositions reminiscent of baroque paintings alongside sequences of what appear to be cult members in writhing prayer.The video mirrors elements we've seen previously, such as the confrontational mob, the frenzied dance sequences and doubled Florences. However, Delilah is also full of thrilling and unexpected imagery such as a nightmarish vision of a demon looming over her sleep - inspired by gothic masterpiece The Nightmare - and the unveiling of Florence's double as someone else, someone who is not really her.
