Set against the backdrop of a dating gameshow, Now Ex plays an overenthusiastic host, surrounded by an excellent cast of judges and contestants, in Joanna Vymeris's vibrant promo for Impossible To Love. Exploring sub themes of dysfunctional relationships and our ability to throw ourselves head first into them, the promo exudes a sense of Eighties excess, with exuberant styling, questionable blusher, a glittery disco ball and plumes of fake smoke (of course). Each of the characters perfectly embodies a needy archetype, and the clash of big personalities makes this a funny, offbeat complement to the throwback track. But who will be deemed 'impossible to love', and take home the big, coveted prize?

A chef teaches his young colleague how to dance, to prepare him for a very special date, in Marco Santi's excellent promo for Nother's Us. Opening with a conversation between the two, the video soon slips into a euphoric display of interpretive dance, as the two men throw shapes around the kitchen. When it comes to the all-important date, there are a few glitches, until dance breaks the ice once again... but will it all work out in the end?Beautifully shot by DoP Stefano Usberghi, the gritty, raw aesthetic places the concept firmly in reality, whilst the aspirational themes provide a little hope for everyone one of us with two left feet.

Beetlejuice meets Scooby Doo with a mix of John Waters, as Bedroom bring trippy fun to singer Lava La Rue's date night in the video for bouncy single Vest & Boxers.Lava is looking for Ms Right and her anxious attempts at finding romance is a brilliantly cartoonish adventure in the hands of the directing duo, from the blood-dripping animated titles to the endlessly colourful and exciting art direction and styling, to the wonderfully saturated and textured cinematography. Lava herself emerges as a terrific foil for Bedroom's twisted and slightly surreal pop vision, running through a variety of emotions (and outfits) as she seemingly finds her dream girl - and also performing as her inner voice: the girl in the vest and boxers, camouflaged against the stripey backdrop. If they are not already rather wacky, then things get even weirder and surreal: her dining table becomes possessed - and another girl pops up on the scene. This all adds up to a tasty gumbo of a video, complimenting the catchy moody guitar driven track with it’s hard to resist charm and smooth vocals. Really cool.

BWTV creates a loved-up, user-generated visualiser for Baby Queen’s latest release Online Dating. Enlisting the help of her ever-expanding fanbase on Instagram, the promo exists in an unusual space between the "lockdown video" and a visualiser - which has become a phenomenon and sprawling genre of its own in the last year or two - managing to take the best of both formats and create something hybrid and unique. Pastel colour palettes and bouncy animation channel a safer, more inclusive vibe, whilst Baby Queen's engaging performance shows viewers a raw, vulnerable side to the artist. "We wanted to create an online dating safe-space for the fast growing Baby Kingdom fans," explain BWTV's Liam and Ryan. "We hosted an insta live AMA and invited fans on socials to share dating profiles, stories and chat up lines! Then we put all that love and data into the BWTV magimachine and this is what popped out!"
