KLVDR's 11 minute epic for Stormzy's big return with Mel Made Me Do It is remarkable in a number of ways, and not least of course due to the star quality and sheer number of the cameo appearances. And yes, that does include the Special One...More to the point is the ambition of the piece. Fom the chatshow hosted by Jonathan Ross and ZeZe Mills, with Stormz sharing the sofa with Louis Theroux and Dina Asher-Smith - watched by Usain Bolt, at his home in Jamaica - to performance elements in the studio and the meeting with Jose Mourihno, to the momentous final chapter bringing a couple of generations of Black British talent together that includes a tribute to the late Jamal Edwards.At that point, Stormzy hands over duties to provide the spoken-word piece called Greatness - written by Wretch 32 and read by Michaela Cole. It's a quietly powerful climax of an impressive and entertaining production - this was a five day shoot, plus shooting Bolt in Kingston - that amounts to a big statement of intent by Stormzy - and reminds us of his unmistakeable charisma. And of course, the eponymous Mel, stylist Melissa Holdbrook-Akpose, namechecked by Stormzy in the songtitle, is there too, both behind and in front of camera - with her lint roller.

Dashing the hopes of alt-righters everywhere that she's their secret queen, Taylor nails her colours to the mast and embraces the LGBTQ community, in the video for You Need To Calm Down. It's a cameo-packed fantasy trailer-park world, with appearances by Laverne Cox, the “fab five” from Queer Eye, Billy Porter, Adam Rippon, some drag queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race (including a Taylor lookalike) and RuPaul himself. And then there's the appearance of Katy Perry, as a burger to Taylor's fries - an orchestrated demonstration that their, er, 'beef' is now a thing of the past. Maccie Ds must be absolutely delighted.There's also the characterisation of a homophobic demonstrators as a rabble of toothless rednecks - which is fun, but is it helpful? At least one commentator thinks otherwise. This is also the Taylor's first video where she claims a co-directing credit - together with Drew Kirsch, who's super-colourful style has graced videos for the likes of Jai Wolf, John Legend, Valentino Khan and others.

Dave highlights the highs and the lows, the beauty and the bad, the dreaded and the familiar of what it means to be black in this day and age.The music video, directed by artist's regular collaborator Nathan James Tettey, Edem Wornoo and Dave himself, depicts his incredibly visual lyrics, and paints a portrait of his black pride alongside his family and community. It documents aspects of black lifestyles from different backgrounds and social classes. And there are cameos from some prominent black figures in British life - including Oswald Boeteng, Raheem Sterling, Dina Asher-Smith, Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon, and Stormzy. Above all else, it's Dave's charismatic presence and lyrical flow that makes this an utterly compelling visual.

When the high school movie classics are referenced in music videos it usually happens one at a time. But for the much-adored thank you, next, there was only one thing for Ariana Grande and Hannah Lux Davis to do - riff on all of them.So you get Mean Girls, Bring It On, 13 Going On 30, Legally Blonde, and possibly one or two more. A treasure trove for afficionados of those movies.
