Polish director Grajper directs a very cool, clever and weirdly gripping video for Liverpool indie-rock band Stone, featuring two versions of frontman Fin Power.In the promo for Queen - the director's first UK video - Grajper presents a concept of the Stone vocalist and his döppelgänger hanging out, doing weights, letting time pass as they go through an everyday routine. It is filmed in a naturalistic, candid way on film, with great camerawork and unforced performances, so the conceit is entirely seamless. Unfeasibly real, in fact. Looking great, with fine cinematography by Louis Evennou, and skirting that line between everyday reality and the uncanny, whilst also retaining the energetic charm of previous Stone videos - like the UKMVA-winning video for Left Right Forward - makes this video a really impressive achievement.

Jonathan Waller directs a richly atmospheric promo for Brighton post-punk band Egyptian Blue - in a southern European village, and featuring a menacing-looking bull - for Matador. Featuring a detached performance and a handful of abstract, angsty vignettes within this eye-catching rural location, the video keeps the viewer on edge at all times, which creates an unpredictable yet captivating vibe throughout. It's a well-rounded, engaging visual which matches the energy of the track, and the use of a clever whip-pan and suitably moody cinematography adds an extra textural layer to the project.

Kassandra Powell directs an absorbing comeback promo for Bimini, which shows that you can find glamour in the most unlikely places. The video for Rodeo opens with Bimini on a mechanical bull, shining bright as lights refract from the abundance of reflective monochromatic textures. Quickly bringing the concept back down to Earth, we realise this whole setup is in a typical British pub, and the punters are as about as apathetic to Bimini's performance as they come. But whilst most glare disapprovingly as Bimini continues to do her thing, one character breaks out of their passive state to get absorbed into the otherworldly trance of the music. The contrast of glossy pop concept and stoic public is a brilliant visual dynamic, and DoP Luke Dryden's cinematography captures the perfect balance of these two opposing styles.
