Ivana Bobic directs a beautifully crafted promo for NIKI, as her home becomes caught up in the maelstrom of a vast cyclone. We're not in Kansas anymore, Toto... In the video for Blue Moon, the US-based Indonesian singer-songwriter, now signed to 88 Rising, gives a reflective performance of the track within the domestic setting, framed in a subdued, suitably blue colour palette and contemplative camerawork. And that is in stark contrast to the dangerous weather outside her walls, depicted by a cruel cyclone. With widescreen cinematic imagery that echoes Hollywood history from The Wizard Of Oz to the upcoming release Twisters, the roaring cyclone represents the turbulent relationship described in the song. Following her marvellous promo for Future Islands earlier in the year, it's a further bold step by Ivana Bobic back into the world of music videos.
