Ashnikko is back in Furmaan + Vasso's extraordinary promo for Weedkiller, the title track from the long-awaited debut album. Described as a "trans-dimensional fable, a folk-tech origin story of a birth, a death and a call to emergency in the face of evil," it's safe to say there are a lot of ideas going on, and the hyperactive blend of AI, performance and visual effects is brain-meltingly addictive to watch. Tied together by the fae universe created by Ashnikko on the album, the video is cinematic, gritty and textural, with an overarching sci-fi vibe linking three distinct vignettes that makes the whole concept a true spectacle. Marvellous work by Furmaan + Vasso - who also directed the impressive new Jess Glynne video - and proof that Ashnikko is one of the most exciting artists around today, musically and visually.

Jasper Cable-Alexander directs an atmospheric promo for AMARA ctk100. Lamenting the dramatic deterioration in respect for women’s rights and rise of incel culture, the track is a "request for autonomy and a call to chew up the Andrew Tates, TERFs and politicians that disguise their agendas behind harmless concepts like 'family' and societal traditions," according to AMARA.The video for Chew is a slick, textural trip, blending fierce performance sections with experimental camerawork - including some delightfully weird inner mouth shots and plenty of slow-shutter portraiture, which builds to a hypnotic, mesmerising climax.

Constantine // Spence create a darkly evocative promo for Léa Sen.The video for Dragonfly sees the artist in an enigmatic industrial location, where heavy smoke and grungy textures disguise an abstract figure, who follows Sen like a physical shadow. Purposely abstract and cryptic, the video feels like segments of a dream, playing out in a liminal time and space. Lovely work from the duo and creative team.

Piers Dennis celebrates the awesomeness of Rebecca Taylor - aka Self Esteem - through a heady mix of documentary footage and composed performance for The 345.Dennis' fifth video for the artist features candid backstage footage that he has filmed over the past year during her rise to alt-pop stardom, capturing her most exuberent, and most tender moments.The energy and emotion expressed by Taylor in this revealing footage is cannily counterpointed by a simple head and shoulders shot of Taylor, shot in the style of a classic Hollywood portrait, in which she performs this momentously moving song. Beautifully made, the black and white aesthetic creates a timeless snapshot of the last twelve months, and is a perfect showcase of Self Esteem's journey so far. Bloody marvellous.
