BombayMami 'Gulabi Mantra' by Aron Randhawa
Rob Ulitski - 13th Aug 2026
Aron Randhawa's video for BombayMami is inspired by India’s real-life Gulabi Gang, a powerful feminist movement recognised for their bright pink sarees and fearless stand against violence and oppression.
The film channels that same spirit of resistance and empowerment, and was released in celebration of International Women’s Day in May.
“This project means a lot to me… not only because of its message, but because of its deep connection to my culture and the opportunity to collaborate with such a talented team. It’s a piece that truly challenged me creatively and helped evolve my voice as a director," explains Randhawa.
Contrasting gritty, textural locations with vibrant styling and movement, it's a fresh visual with plenty of standout moments.
