Basement 'Wired' by Ashley Rommelrath
Rob Ulitski - 31st Mar 2026
Ashley Rommelrath directs a stirring promo for British rock band Basement.Â
The video for Wired finds the band performing within a dark warehouse on the brink of collapse. Smoke billows, debris rains from down onto the band and urgent, kinetic crowd. As the track intensifies, tension mounts, driving an increasingly encrusted audience toward an inevitable breaking point.Â
Shot in gritty monochrome - with excellent cinematography by Dave Galloway and grade by Mackenzie Taylor - it's a pulsating promo which brings the group's live energy into focus, with frantic camerawork, inspired lighting and body horror-inspired transformations.
