DJ Snake ft J Balvin 'Noventa' by Luis Rojo

Luis Rojo - of film collective BRBR - directs an ambitious promo for DJ Snake featuring J Balvin, shot on the streets of New York.
The video for Noventa blends cinematic performance setups with docu-style portraits and footage from the Brooklyn neighbourhood, placing real fans and residents in the heart of the action. Breathlessly paced with some fun edit trickery, its an immersive and hugely effective visual accompaniment to the track.
And the video was made under challenging circumstances, especially when it came to permits.
"The team was determined to film in the heart of a Hispanic neighborhood, with real people, to truly capture the strength and energy of this vibrant community," reveal Birth, Rojo's production company.
"The shoot didn’t go unnoticed, helicopters flew overhead, and police units showed up, clearly on edge. But in the face of a joyful, united crowd that only wanted one thing, to sing along with the two artists, there was nothing the authorities could do. The community’s spirit was simply unstoppable."
