King Charles 'We Didn't Start The Fire' by Roger Spy

Rob Ulitski - 24th Nov 2022

Roger Spy goes into surveillance mode, appropriately enough, as King Charles - the artist not the actual monarch - laments current society in his reinterpretation of Billy Joel's '80s hit We Didn't Start The Fire.

Stalking around London in a hairnet and facemask, we see the artist perplexed by everything around him, staring into the void as the public go about their day - being constantly tracked in longshot by Spy's camera.

Shot in an off-the-cuff, lo-fi fashion, the video is an honest and intimate conceptual piece, which allows the lyrics and track to take centre-stage.
