A photographer is drawn into a tower-block nightmare, in Leo Gorenshtein's well-constructed video for Russian alt-hip hop group 3h Company.

This opens with the main character loading film into a vintage Zenit 35mm camera, before popping upstairs to capture an idiosyncratic wedding reception. When the groom falls into his meal, seemingly poisoned, reality starts to unravel - and it only gets more strange and absurd from there.

Exuding an uncanny, haunting atmosphere, the aesthetic feels anachronistic and inspired by gothic horror, which contrasts the late 20th century Soviet art direction and styling.

With terrific casting and production design this is a highly impressive piece of work from Gorenshtein, an experienced commercials director, who has also directed music videos for Marselle, PSYPAd and Midnight Juggernauts.
