Coldplay 'People Of The Pride' by Paul Dugdale

Rob Ulitski - 17th Mar 2022

Paul Dugdale directs an exhilarating promo for Coldplay's People Of The Pride, from latest album Music Of The Spheres, based upon the band's live show at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle last year.

The video jumps between the high-octane live footage from the group's performance in Seattle, and an animated dystopian tale about an oppressed population rising up against an enigmatic overlord.

The use of glitchy effects and textures helps seamlessly bond the two distinct setups, and the retrofuturistic anime-inspired aesthetic gives the concept a universal, timeless feel.

With revolution in its step, the video explores political tensions and the power of rising up against tyrannical establishments, in a visually spectacular package.
