Reuben Sutherland pays homage to vintage video games, in his retrofuturistic promo for Berlin band Partefacts.

The animated video for Time Travel incorporates still images of the band taken during lockdown, and a series of increasingly genius ways to incorporate them into the 2D aesthetic.

Reuben’s inspiration for the video was the title sequence from Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, as well as other iconic retro movies and TV shows of the era.

Sutherland notes, "I’ve always loved the look of TV shows from the late 70’s and early 80’s, so marrying this with games like Street Fighter and Mario Brothers, was really a great aesthetic that worked well for the lyrics."

The end result is a visual extravaganza that elevates the undulating funky beats in the track.
