Sunset Collective 'Take Me Home' by Sophie Chatfield
Sophie Chatfield directs a high-energy promo for Sunset Collective.
Focusing purely on performance and intimate portraits of a mysterious woman, the video dives into abstract imagery and minacious colour palettes to create an intriguing aesthetic.
Doubling up as DoP, Chatfield matches the overall mood of the piece with jolting camerawork and off-kilter composition.
SOPHIE CHATFIELD:
We wanted visualise the pull of a toxic relationship and the intensity of it.
"We wanted to create a performance-based video blending dark and moody tones with bright lit chorus vocals. Combining this with female visuals created a relationship dynamic with Sam’s vocals. We wanted visualise the pull of a toxic relationship and the intensity of it.
"It’s about breaking out of a mould, going out and doing what’s best for you, not letting other people dictate what you should be doing. Separating yourself from negative people."
