A futile struggle between twin brothers unravels in the shell of an old church, in Daniel Henry's poignant promo for Julien Baker.

Sharing stories of various characters, all trying to hold on to a reality they once knew, the sentimental concept studies connection and yearning across different life experiences.

Dustin Lane's cinematography experiments with desaturated colour palettes and long, drawn-out takes to allow the narrative to play out.

The performances are also noteworthy, with each actor embodying complex emotions with their own quirks and subtle strokes of genius.
