Directing duo Bedroom throw a post-breakup party in the video for Biig Piig's second release of 2020, Don't Turn Around.
Shot in a lush mansion somewhere out in the sticks, we find Biig Piig - aka Jess Smyth - roaming around and being sad and gloomy, as she reflects on being in a toxic relationship and decides it’s time for some self-love and glowing up.
Throwing caution to the wind, Jess causes mayhem across pink-hued vignettes, as she participates in opulent pillow fights, and commandeers a golf cart. And that's just the start of it.
DoP Alexandre Jamin uses sweeping camera movements and off-kilter closeups to tie in with the themes of freedom and self-love, with the cinematography matching the unabashed emotion of the concept.
At the end of the day, as difficult as circumstances can be, heartbreak makes a great excuse to go out and party with your friends. If you have a mansion to do it in, even better...
