Tim Mattia directs a pared-back performance video for LANY, shot just before lockdown. 

Paying tribute to vintage Americana and American life, the concept follows vocalist Paul Jason Klein as he traverses breathtaking landscapes, alone with his thoughts and a moment for introspection. 

DoP Justin Moro contrasts wide shots of the scenery with intimate, emotional close-ups, utilising silhouettes to cut Klein from the hot, arid backdrop. Though the concept is 100% performance-based, not once does it get slow or dull, which is largely due to the unique vignettes and masterful cinematography.
