Tetris gets trippy in this brilliantly kinetic new video heralding the return of experimental supergroup Battles, by Japanese animator Masanobu Hiraoka.

The animation, which consists solely of shapes of different colours and sizes, is entirely hypnotic and surprisingly charming. Perfectly synced to the music, you will get sucked in to this video, as the animation on-screen constantly changes and evolves, creates new moments every few seconds. It is this progression that makes it so fun and compelling to watch.
