Andre Muir's video for the Mahalia's killer song Surprise Me captures the torment that comes with a fading relationship.
Sinead Harnett ft Gallant 'Pulling Away' by Andre Muir
Andre Muir explores a cycle of bittersweet memories in his video for Pulling Away. Taking place in a series of exterior locations, we see Sinead and Gallant perform understated choreography as they wistfully imagine each other's company, revisiting borrowed moments and yearning for the past.
The use of clever camerawork and blocking ensures that we are never too sure whose story we are following. Both of these characters are hurt by lost love, and switching them in and out of each other's scenarios builds upon these emotions.
