Matt Corby 'Miracle Love' (live at Manchester Cathedral) by Raja Virdi
Promonews - 1st Apr 2019
Raja Virdi brings his trademark single take method of live performance directing to bear on Matt Corby's Miracle Love, filmed at Manchester Cathedral.
Corby was performing a concert in the Cathedral that evening, which means that Virdi was also able to feature Corby's vocal accompaniment at the concert - the BIMM and Access Creative choirs. So this six minute one-take video builds through the course of the song to become a thoroughly moving experience.
RAJA VIRDI:
"This was a really fun project to direct and shoot. I am a big Matt Corby fan, so getting asked to do this was really great. It was a pretty intense couple hours to shoot due to working around the soundcheck, cathedral services and the show that evening, but all came together wonderfully in the end.
"It was really amazing having the incredible BIMM and Access Creative choirs being involved. Big thanks to my Steadi-Op Beau Pritchard-James for expertly operating this and machining through the six minute single take passes, and to my frequent collaborator Connor Coolbear for the beautiful grade."
