Dublin-based director and storyteller supreme Bob Gallagher has created a charming video for Villagers' Trick Of The Light, the first release from their forthcoming album The Art Of Pretending To Swim.

A mysterious disheveled man wanders the streets at night and like a suited shaman, triggers an altered state of consciousness in everyone he meets. Or at least thinks that he does.

It's a delightful confection - and is that Villagers' Conor O'Brien playing the disgruntled cinema kiosk worker, whisked into the air by our hero? 

Even when our hero's delusions are brutally exposed, it's still worth hanging on for the final seconds. Music videos rarely attain a sense of wistfulness, but Bob Gallagher has achieved it here.
