Chris Turner, aka Favourite Colour: Black, orchestrates a flagrantly sexy video for badass newcomer Alice.

Being locked in a dreary, even scary suburban house is cue for Alice to indulge her fantasies and roleplay with her buddies. And Turner effectively marshalls his resources to work up a sultry and steamy confection for her track Girls X Boys.

"We took a very simple approach to the production and aesthetic, shooting the video using a single camera mounted ring light, only two lenses, a 100w bulb, and natural daylight filtered through some pretty garish curtains.

"This is Alice’s first single, so we had to work closely with her in order to deliver something that she saw as fitting for the music and image she wanted to portray. She’s very much the creative force behind her brand and identity. Budget is the main challenge for many music videos, so for an effective end result you really have to try to make the restrictions work for you and inform the creative."
