It had to happen eventually. And how else to do you make the greatest poem in the English language relevant to the kids in this post-literature age?
Hippo Campus 'Western Kids' by Najeeb Tarazi
Former Pixar technical director Najeeb Tarazi lets Hippo Campus become their own digital architects in this trippy clip for Western Kids.
Building the video from the inside out, Tarazi drops renderings of the band straight into some 3D software and lets them toy around and create whatever the hell they can think of. Flying box cars in worlds of polygons and geometry make for a real head trip of a meta-video rife with stylistic flourishes and a curious hi-fi-lo-fi charm.
