Ward Thomas 'Cartwheels' by Urban Strom
Urban Strom directs Ward Thomas' autumnal video for Cartwheels which sees a ballerina dance her way through central London on a cold autumn day.
Mixing more built-up urban landscapes with parks basking in a crisp autumnal sunshine, and a minimalist performance from Ward Thomas, Strom's video is a subtle dance film that allows the choreography room to tell its story.
"Visually I wanted the environment to contrast with the delicate choreography and ballerina. I wanted the film to have a dreamlike quality to enhance this beautiful song. Shooting in London this time of year can be a gamble, but DOP Charlie Goodger and the whole crew capture the magic of London in the autumn."
