Foxtrott 'Shields' by Kevin Calero

Following up on last year's videos for Shaky Hands and Driven, Montreal-based artist Foxtrott has paired up once again with Canadian director Kevin Calero, reprising their golden formula of bold, ritualistic choreography by Wynn Holmes, set in stunning locations.

The dance is just as eyecatching, except this time, they place it in a more familiar setting, that of a sombre church interior as opposed to the previously-used outdoor locations made up of massive rock formations.

Shields is also different in its stylised, considered interplay between light and dark. Only a few cracks in the ceiling let any light in - while everything else is shrouded in pure darkness.
