Coves 'You're Evil' by Joss Crowley
Cat Velez - 5th Apr 2016
Joss Crowley has shot this stylish video for Coves' track You're Evil, with lead singer Beck Wood walking around a huge derelict, ruined railway station while a raven - constantly hovering over her like a bad omen - represents the evil ex she can't get rid of.
"It all started with a conversation with Beck - lead singer and lone cast member - during which we chatted about what it would be like if Debbie Harry was cast as Margot Tenenbaum and wandered on to the set of the film Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
"I found a disused British Rail station to match the muted palette of Tinker Tailor… that happened to be on a pier, Camilla designed a costume for Beck that provided the accent colour, and DP Adam conjured up some otherworldly photography that was captured fantastically by steadicam op, Mihalis, in some super challenging and windy south coast conditions."
