Newton Faulkner 'Get Free' by Oscar Sansom
Oscar Sansom goes for a simple but striking approach for Newton Faulkner's new video, launching the artist's new album Human Love.
It sees a stripped-back, emotional performance from Newton Faulkner singing his cover of Major Lazor's Get Free. As Newton starts lopping off great chunks of his signature red dreadlocks the camera sweeps around him to examine the procedure in detail.
The emotion playing out on his face ranges from fear to pain to surprise, and definitely some exhilaration as the pile of hair grows. Finally coming to rest on his sharp new look, a wry smile suggests Newton is back and ready to surprise us.
