Victoria Hanna 'Aleph-bet (Hosha'ana)' by Asaf Korman
Cat Velez - 3rd Sept 2015
Asaf Korman has directed this wonderfully fun, schoolroom-set video for vocal artist Victoria Hanna, who explores a new way of singing the Hebrew alphabet.
Born in one of Jerusalem’s religious neighborhoods to a Sephardi rabbi, Victoria's artist statement explains that her process involves researching ancient sacred Hebrew texts and setting them to music that "explores their mystical nature in combination with contemporary modes of communication and symbols." Inspirational stuff.
