Slow Club 'Complete Surrender' by Lucy Needs

Slow Club 'Complete Surrender' by Lucy Needs

David Knight - 4th Apr 2014

Lucy Needs' long association with Slow Club - this is her sixth video for the band - has resulted in memorable one-shot star turns with Mackenzie Crook on Giving Up On Love and Daniel Radcliffe on Beginners. But her video for Complete Surrender brings an element definitely missing with those projects - glamour.

SC's Charles and Rebecca have been transformed from the Sheffield indie kids of yore into a sophisticated couple – with Rebecca, in particular, the full-on ravishing beauty and pop video star.

There's excellent photography by DoP Dave Miller, choreography by Francis Angol, to help Lucy Needs achieve a video of style and finesse - and if there's a tongue in a cheek somewhere, its barely noticeable.

It's also Lucy's first video produced through Passion RAW, her new home for promos. It's a very auspicious start.
