Trentemøller 'Gravity' by Tue Walin Storm & Elvira Lind

David Knight - 24th Feb 2014

Oscar Isaac - who plays the eponymous anti-hero of the Coen Brothers' latest movie Inside Llewyn Davis - turns up as Mr Carpool in the rather wonderful video by Tue Walin Storm & Elvira Lind for Trentemøller's Gravity, featuring Lower Dens' Jana Hunter.

On the freeways around LA, he offers his 'Carpool' services to drivers - which involves him hitchhiking rides, and getting paid for $10 a time for it. He finds himself in some tricky situations with a manic businessman and a stoner, and a much better time with a nice lady in a Mercedes.

Which sort of echoes Oscar's strange time on the road between New York and Chicago in Llewyn Davis, although the outcome is rather more positive...

As Anders Trentemøller explains: "The video is an homage to the great city of LA - a place where diversity is an understatement; a place full of vibrant characters from all walks of life; a place where even our Mr. Carpool can gravitate into his American dream."
