Metronomy 'Love Letters' by Michel Gondry
David Knight - 11th Feb 2014
Metronomy have lured Michel Gondry out of 'music video retirement' in order to direct their video for Love Letters - the title track from the new album.
It's a one-shot too - but not a remarkably complicated one. This is really all about the relative simplicity of putting the band in different slightly daft settings courtesy of the pavilion in which they're performing, which is adorned with cartoony illustrations by Etienne Charry.
It's not trying to be cool (which is cool) - and totally Gondry-esque in its dedication to in-camera VFX. A right charmer.
