George Michael 'Let Her Down Easy' by Vaughan Arnell
Jimmy Brown - 5th Feb 2014
This seems to be the week for the return of successful and longstanding artist-director pairings – first Kylie and Dawn Shadforth, and now George Michael and Vaughan Arnell.
Following his promos for Olly Murs, Robbie Williams and One Direction last year, Vaughan delivers this sensational video for George's reading of Terence Trent D'Arby's Let Her Down Easy.
Shot in Barcelona at a family-run circus, all the cast are actual performers in the circus, with the exception of the leads - including striking model Hannah Janes from London, who according to press reports was chosen from 3,000 hopefuls. Â
Brilliantly shot by DP Callan Green's observant camera, the promo is tinged with sadness as the tale of sexual desire unfolds – and the leading lady reveals all...Â
Vaughan Arnell:
"As soon as I heard George's voice it felt like only yesterday we made 'Outside'. For me, the man is timeless.Â
"I love working with George - he gives so much 'Freedom' to go out there and make a video. But don't get me wrong he know every f@#king frame of the rushes. God bless you Mr Michael."
