A couple of years ago Daniel Brereton directed the video for Connan Mockasin's Forever Dolphin Love, from the New Zealander's debut album, which was very weird psychedelic shit indeed. But in some ways, their latest collaboration, for Connan's I'm The Man, That Will Find You' is even weirder shit.

The song is a Connan's singular stab at sexy soul music, and in the video he is an unlikely Mr. Lover Man, seriously wooing the lady of the mansion in a kind of affectionate tribute to a stock-in-trade Eighties R&B video. Appropriately the video was shot at a private residence in Rochdale, Manchester (where Connan now lives), and features refreshingly normal-sized model Naomi Shimada as the lady won over by Connan's full-on devotion.

Weird shit - but utterly charming.
