Doctor P, Adam F & Method Man 'The Pit' by Mike Tyler
The momentous team-up of Doctor P, Adam F and Method Man with The Pit, gets a suitably blockbusting treatment by Mike Tyler - a blood-spattered mash-up of martial-arts, sci-fi and horror, rendered in old-school animation.
All kinds of grisly goings-on are happening in 'The Pit' involving a Jabba-style boss, robots with circular saws and zombified humans - until the grand-masters of hip-hop, drum 'n' bass' and dubstep enter the fray...
Mike Tyler's fellow Burning Reel director Richard Payne - renowned for his comic book-style videos and shorts – came on board as animation director and this was produced in six weeks, working with illustrator Adam Relf.
There was also a lot of live action shot before the animation, as Burning Reel's Joe Elliott explains: "Producing a piece for Method man was a huge dream of Mike's, being such a Wu-Tang and general hiphop fan of course, so there was obviously a huge amount of passion that went into the piece. A lot of the Burning Reel family got to act in the piece too - being various zombified humans which was fun."
