Emilia Mitiku 'You're Not Right For Me' by Andy Hylton
Jimmy Brown - 17th Dec 2012
Andy Hylton gets up close and personal with this tasteful and very intimate performance promo for Emilia Mitiku’s You’re Not Right For Me.
Matching the introspection of the soundtrack with a beautifully shot, stylish monochrome vibe, Andy had this to say about the production:
“Shot around Sloane Square on a freezing November night, Emilia’s Swedish background prepared her for the subzero temperatures,” explains Andy. “She was an absolute star, professional to the end and always smiling and joking with the crew.
“Emilia shared a love of Miles Davis so she adored the homage to Louis Malle’s 1958 film-noir ‘Ascenseur Pour L’Echafaud’. She gave one of the most heart wrenching performances. Even the sparks were welling up.
“The catering was especially prepared by my lovely producer, Ebony Maitland’s mum, who brought in some of the best home-made chicken, rice and peas which kept the crew working through the night. My caterer of choice from now on. A near catastrophe was averted when Ebony spotted a record company boss about to take a bite from a freshly peeled raw plantain which they mistook for a banana.
“Thankfully my new baby daughter Holly delayed her delivery in time for me to deliver the video.”
