Samuel Bradley teams up with The 1975 for I'm In Love With You, the third video of the campaign for upcoming album Being Funny In A&nbsp;Foreign Language, created by Bradley, creative director/stylist&nbsp;Patricia Villirillo and 1975 frontman Matty Healy.&nbsp;In keeping with the previous two videos for&nbsp;the campaign, the promo is shot on 16mm film, and as with <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2022/07/12/1975-part-band-samuel-bradley/77293" target="_blank">Part Of The Band</a> establishes an attractively vintage black and white aesthetic. But this one, written by Healy, also acts as a sequel of sorts&nbsp;to&nbsp;one of the band's most memorable videos - and one of Healy's most memorable performances as a Chaplin-esque circus clown -&nbsp;in&nbsp;<a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2016/04/25/1975-change-heart-tim-mattia/40941" target="_blank">A Change Of Heart</a>, released back in 2016.[imgtoken data:1]Acting as a nod to the past -&nbsp;whilst reflecting on where the band are now, six years on -&nbsp;it's a beautifully made visual. And there is also noteworthy performance from&nbsp;Katie Collins, reprising her hero role from the A Change Of Heart video, and who also choreographed the piece.The film features everything from dancing clowns - to a special guest appearance from Phoebe Bridgers.

Maxim Kelly directs a genre-bending epic for Mercury Prize-shortlisted rock band Black Country, New Road.&nbsp;Cleverly&nbsp;balancing&nbsp;an abstract narrative with anachronistic imagery, the focal point of the story is an alien who has crash-landed to Earth, who gets a less-than-welcoming treatment from the humans who capture him.Spanning a six-minute runtime, the video is peppered with a vast array of references, from vintage sci-fi films through to low budget B-movies and classic drama films. And the Concorde plane is in there too.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]Flanked with archival footage, the video is ambitious and wide-ranging, but never once feels stretched too thin, which is a remarkable achievement for a concept that covers so much ground in it's comparably short runtime.<blockquote>We took the 6 minute-plus runtime as an asset.</blockquote>“On the surface, the concept was straightforward," says Kelly. "But&nbsp;for a band who namecheck everyone from Scott Walker to Kanye West, and the pronounced mix of genres in their music, it felt right to take an analogous approach with the visuals. Throw as many references together as possible and see if we, too, could get it all to hold together as a piece."We took the 6 minute-plus runtime as an asset. It gave us the time needed to weave as much as possible into the film. A walking video in parts, but also with a narrative running through...&nbsp; combined with miniatures and VFX.&nbsp;"The band were so supportive and amazing. They gave us the encouragement to just go off on one! And being a massive fan of their music, it was a genuine pleasure to work with them on this film.”

Working with our lead Adam to realise the label exec character I dreamed up was the highlight of the shoot. Deb was a vibe to work with, affable and professional – when an artist is mingling with the crew and cracking jokes, everyone has more spring in their step.”

Henry Scholfield is back with Dua Lipa. Following on from his monumental UKMVA-winning videos for New Rules&nbsp;and IDGAF,&nbsp;Scholfield has created another visual feast for Break My Heart - taken from her just-released second album Future Nostalgia -&nbsp;utilising clever camera trickery,&nbsp;great choreography and perfectly stylised production design to create this epic&nbsp;emotional narrative.We follow Dua on her journey as scenarios materialise and&nbsp;amplify the emotional state, illustrated here through fast-paced transitions and&nbsp;setups, mirroring the heartfelt lyrics.&nbsp;The video which was shot in Bulgaria uses a colour palette of early Almodóvar mashed up with mid 90s styling via the iridescent surreal-scapes of Japanese love hotels. Production had their work cut out with VFX, choreography, wire work, stunts - and a tilting set. The sets were built across three stages, and beautifully realised by production designer Mark Connell.Scholfield explains: “I wanted to create something that felt like that tumble dryer of emotions when falling for someone who’s pulling away from you. Dua’s perfomance was brilliant (as always!) taking us on her journey from vulnerable to empowered, via her playful cheeky-charming self.”And the video, single and the album release were all brought forward,&nbsp;despite the Coronavirus pandemic, on Dua Lipa's command. She states: “I hope it brings you some happiness, and I hope it makes you smile, and I hope it makes you dance."&nbsp;

The song&#39;s themes of strong-headed independence are contrasted with the isolated imagery of Stevie on her own, surrounded by people in some very beautifully composed shots.The frigid coldness of a winter morning in London shines through adding extra layers to the video&#39;s emotional ambiguity, as well as the intentionally &#39;boxed-in&#39; look of shooting in a square aspect ratio.
