Ben Strebel has directed a striking music video for Italian duo Parisi and Wu Tang Clan&#39;s RZA that highlights the desperate situation faced&nbsp;by the millions caught up in the global refugee crisis.&nbsp;In a collaboration with US creative agency Stay In School, Strebel&nbsp;the trauma experienced by ordinary people forced to leave their homes is expressed by the actions of a group dropped in a misty nowhere by a coach. They start to move, which then becomes a dance that becomes a reaction ot the endless movement, and seemingly hopeless journey to an unknown destination. The strength of the piece is how it highlights individuals as well as the group, offering a window&nbsp;into the desperate world of the refugee.&nbsp;&quot;I wanted to create a film that showed each individual on a journey forced upon them, ceaseless, restless and without a destination in sight,&quot; says Ben Strebel. &quot;My interpretation of the song drew on the persona! history of forced migration that my family experienced sixty years ago.&quot;Ail proceeds from streams and sales of the song will be donated to the UNHCR - the United Nations Refugee Agency - to aid the ongoing refugee crisis.&nbsp;&quot;lt sits uncomfortably close to home seeing innocent families who have escaped war and destruction only to be ill-treated and regarded like criminals when they&#39;re in need of safety.&quot; says Feh Tarty, a native of war-torn Liberia and Creative Partner of Stay in School. &quot;This project is a perfect marriage between awareness displayed beautifully and effortless action. Danish band Off Bloom dance with&nbsp;the locals in Morocco for their new video&nbsp;Falcon Eye, directed by Nadia Marquard Otzen.It&#39;s like watching a western pop video transposed into a new culture, with glimpses of Moroccan streets, dance styles and people. The video proposes&nbsp;an interesting style&nbsp;fusion, not unlike&nbsp;Major Lazer&#39;s Lean On video in&nbsp;its adoption of&nbsp;local dancing. And out of what Nadia describes as&nbsp;an off-the-cuff creative process has emerged a great pop video with all the trimmings, including girl posse attitude, pop and lock&nbsp;moves and surprising little moments thrown in.

Truman &amp; Cooper&#39;s new Kidwise video clearly invites comparisons with <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2013/09/24/kid-wise-hope-truman-cooper" target="_blank">Hope</a>, their&nbsp;previous video for the band - first and foremost for the&nbsp;reappearance of Fred Hotier, who gave an extraordinary performance in the first video,&nbsp;once again among a group of teenagers out on the loose.As it turns out, the video for Miroir is a far more&nbsp;fun-loving number.&nbsp;Hotier is one of four powder-paint spattered teenagers loitering about parking lots,&nbsp;freeways,&nbsp;and&nbsp;suburban no-mans-land,&nbsp;feeding off each others&#39; energy until they&#39;ve&nbsp;reached a&nbsp;state of blissed-out&nbsp;hysteria.They&#39;re having the time of their lives, and its all down to a combination of good vibes and personal chemistry. Bristol-based duo Icarus get their name from a character in&nbsp;Greek mythology who took to the air, but Ben Strebel references another Greek hero for his video&nbsp;for their Don&#39;t Cry Wolf. Shot in Folkestone, Kent, it follows the story of a young&nbsp;fisherman&nbsp;whose&nbsp;banal routine is disrupted when he finds a naked young woman on the beach.In Homer&#39;s Iliad,&nbsp;Ulysses orders his men to tie him to the mast&nbsp;of his ship so that he could listen to the sirens&#39; (more commonly known as mermaids)&nbsp;song without being tempted to jump towards them to his death. And sure enough, upon hearing the sweet, deadly calls,&nbsp;Ulysses is driven temporarily&nbsp;insane and tries to break free.&nbsp;And we discover that the girl the boy finds&nbsp;holds a similar disorientating effect on him. Even in gritty real life settings, Strebel communicates the mystery, intimacy and unearthly&nbsp;seductive power of the mermaid.

Anthony Jorge &amp; Jonathan Cohen &ndash; better known as directing duo&nbsp;Truman &amp; Cooper &ndash; were named Best New Director at the recent UK Music Video Awards. Now comes their new video&nbsp;for Rag N Bone Man&#39;s Hell Yeah - and&nbsp;further&nbsp;evidence why they earned that accolade.&nbsp;&nbsp;Not only is this a searing drama that grips from start to finish, it&#39;s delivered in a highly original fashion. The harrowing story is concerned with a young man and woman&#39;s plan to kill their violent father, about to leave jail. It shares the intensity, and the excellent nuanced performances seen in the pair&#39;s previous work for&nbsp;Kid Wise&#39;s Hope (also an award-winner at this year&#39;s MVAs) and Son Lux.But then there&#39;s the added abstraction of having all the action, including flashbacks, occur in one exterior airfield-style location. It&#39;s&nbsp;an initially disconcerting but&nbsp;ingenious Lars Von Trier-style conceit that if anything, heightens the drama further. And it all leads to a white-knuckle&nbsp;climax. What a great way to follow-up the MVAs.&nbsp;&nbsp;

This superb video for Kid Wise&#39;s Hope by Truman &amp; Cooper - that&#39;s Jonathan Cohen and Anthony Jorge &ndash;&nbsp;is ostensibly about a feral gang of teenagers on the loose&nbsp;in the French&nbsp;countryside, and how their extreme behaviour swings wildly from the sweet to the sexual, to the repulsively violent.But that&#39;s only aspect of a story&nbsp;which is actually more devastating. In fact, the&nbsp;dynamic at the core of the video is virtually the stuff of Greek tragedy. The gawky&nbsp;kid in the gang (brilliantly played by Fred Hotier), mesmerized by the gang&#39;s leader&#39;s beautiful, sexy girlfriend, and unable to control his feelings, is drawn inexorably towards&nbsp;a horrible fate. Utterly gripping. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

The story of a young man obsessively holding on to his childhood dreams of being an astronaut is the basis of this charming video for Yellow Son's The King Or The Bird directed by Jonathan Cohen.
Full of both artfully homemade gear - like the centrifuge made from a desk chair - and authentic stuff, like a cosmonaut's outfit, our hero also manages to engage his flatmates in his enthusiasm, and get them involved in the build-up to the big launch...
The cast includes Jean-Nicolas Arnoux as the aspiring spaceman, and dancer/comedian Charlotte Bentz. "The cosmonaut's costume has been lent to us by the CNES (thanks!) and Dominique Perrault in person (BNF's architect) gave us his copyright to shoot the French National Library's esplanade," reveals says Nicolas de Rosanbo of Chez Eddy.
