Directing trio Three Shades helm this fast-moving story&nbsp;of escape, adventure and sexual chemistry for Australian producer Luude's Oh My - an interpolation of Moby's late 90s classic Porcelain.When a boy/girl couple welcome another girl in their midst on the dancefloor it leads to a night of passion and hi-jinx. Knucklehead have announced the signing of directing team Three Shades - aka Dean, Sim and Warren - to their music and content directors' roster.Three Shades describe themselves as a 'one-hive mind, three creative brains' who synchronise their ideas and vision into one. Within two years, the trio has managed to build up a portfolio of work creating music videos for Bastille, Josh Barry, Inji and others - as well as working with brands such as M&amp;S, DAZN, Urban Outfitters, KLM Airlines, and Levi’s.Friends since childhood, Three Shades bonded over their shared love of film, music and travel, cutting their filmmaking teeth on a 2.5 year round-the-world trip, which was documented on their popular YouTube channel Travel Blaggers.When they returned home with a showreel of music promos and content, they began shooting music videos, fashion, food and everything in between. Three Shades’ ability to cover a lot of ground quickly facilitated their rapid rise and development, and during lockdown, they decided to focus their energy on directing as a trio and honing their style.“People are often very intrigued by the directing trio dynamic and it’s something we pride ourselves on, being such close friends with similar tastes but also how we push ourselves and bring the best out of each other, constantly pushing the limits of our creative output,” they explain.The trio have already directed two videos with Knucklehead for the dance artist Luude - the second of which, for <a href="https://wdrv.it/60307cfd0" target="_blank">Oh My</a>, has just launched.“You know 2023 is going to be a big one when you find out you’ll be joining the Knucklehead crew!" say Three Shades. Creative trio Three Shades direct an infectiously fun promo for Bastille.&nbsp;The video for Shut Off The Lights is a&nbsp;light-hearted look at how people might react if&nbsp;their connection to the virtual world was suddenly broken, in the middle of their working day.In an age of short attention spans and technological takeover, the video follows a&nbsp;rag-tag bunch of office workers, and details their escapades as they are left to&nbsp;their own devices (pun intended).Building upon the dystopian world of ‘Future Inc’ that Bastille had already created for their upcoming album, Three Shades set out to capture the joy, euphoria and childlike innocence of human interactions in their most basic forms. It's safe to say they have achieved that and much more in entertaining video.

It's 2066, and Josh Barry is reminiscing about his 2021 self in this video for the soul singer's Rush, from his debut EP,&nbsp;by directing team Three Shades.In fact, Josh takes on various incarnations in this playful piece, from the older fellow taking a nostalgic dive into his record collection, to the younger man dancing, drinking and chilling. And there are also various musician-versions of Barry, including his old school soul vocalist alter-ego.[imgtoken data:1]Ultimately this all serves the gentle groove of the song and the sense of nostalgia and fantasy is given a vintage feel thanks to Luke Dryden's moody&nbsp;cinematography."Rush is a trip down memory lane for an ageing Josh, reliving youthful memories triggered by the track," explain London-based Three Shades about this, their second video for Josh Barry.&nbsp;"As he gets lost in nostalgia, the lines between reality, memory and fantasy become blurred and he is overwhelmed by the experience, collapsing in a blissful ecstasy.[imgtoken data:2]"It is a playful but introspective reflection on the absurdity of time - as it passes it feels infinite but once gone it's only retrievable in the form of hazy, rose-tinted memories."
